Welcome to

Hello community! the post above is one I created a few weeks back on LinkedIn. Most CMMS issues boil down to simple lack of understanding. Once you have identified an issue, potential remedies present themselves, or improvisation can be used as a temporary fix. Yesterday's improvisational ideas are tomorrows new functionality's. I don't believe its is wrong to find loopholes or improvisational fixes. If the CMMS is not capable of performing a specific operational function we need to tell each other and include the software developers.

About Anton & CMMS
For the past two decades, I have been focusing my career that started with a formal education at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston Ma. I received a B.S. in Facilities Planning and Management. At the time WIT was one of few schools that offered this degree. This got me very excited about my future career. Once I started working I found my place, my niche, my area of expertise. It was clear from the start that my specialty would forever be all things CMMS. These powerful work order asset management systems have some amazing capability. I want to know what they are missing. What is lacking and what would help our industry get up to speed as far as technology is concerned. A clear gap exsists between technology and facilities operations. Our current state is scattered with no real standardize methodology. Its time to create it! Please join me or catch up later once we all figure it out.
I wanted to share my experiences with anyone interested and create a more legitimate community of like minded facilities professionals. In the future I can see a formal CMMS association as well as Certifications that address the different roles we play as CMMS users.
We all have a lot to contribute and I invite you to send me discussion points
